Demonstrated success in Grade 10 English and Mathematics courses are minimum requirements for application to these programs. Some Grade 11 level courses may be recommended. Work experience in the chosen area would be an asset and both teacher and employer references are considered. High school report cards are submitted with the application package. Attendance, punctuality and school and work habits are also considered in the selection of appropriate candidates for each of these programs.
Besides earning credits towards secondary school graduation, students also earn college credits. The costs associated with the first year of a college program are substantially reduced for successful applicants to CTC programs.
